Pastors Groups

For a number of years Christian Growth Ministries Inc has organised and facilitated groups for pastors and Christian leaders which meetings provide significant support and inspiration for the many who attend. These groups meet every second month in Sydney.

There is a fourfold purpose in all our activities:

bullet

To provide resources for those in pastoral ministry and other forms of Christian work. We aim to have speakers who are able to provide input that is helpful to pastors and Christian leaders for their own spiritual lives and which equips them to be more effective in their various ministries.

bullet

To create an atmosphere of encouragement. We understand the pressures of ministry and the need for each of us to be encouraged in our personal and family lives as well as that of our relationships and ministries. We are committed to be encouragers of all those to whom we contribute. Our speakers are specifically asked to bear this in mind.

bullet

To provide a support base. Ministry can be exciting and fulfilling but at the same time lonely and debilitating. Having a support base of others who are walking the same ministry journey can sometimes mean the difference between enjoying or enduring our ministry role. Such a base provides the opportunity to encourage each other in difficult and stressful times and to rejoice together in the exciting and productive times.

Being part of a small group (within the wider group) also provides the opportunity to care and pray together. This also has the potential to motivate prayer on a regular basis in between meetings from others within the group. Some small group members also meet over coffee to further friendship, encouragement and support.

bullet

To provide opportunity to network with others in ministry. The informal chatting over morning tea or lunch can be exceedingly productive in sharing together personally, hearing what others are doing in their churches, or bouncing new ideas off each other and widening one's view of the church at large.

You can help make these groups as vital and strategic as they can possibly be with your commitment to being there on a regular basis. Indeed, the more you participate, the greater will be the impact on your life and ministry.
